Motiongate is a 372,000 square meter theme park development that is anticipated to attract three million visitors a year. The park has four zones, dedicated to globally recognized IPs including DreamWorks, Sony and Smurfs.

Motiongate, which boasts 27 attractions, is part of the Phase 1 development of Dubai Parks, a resort that also includes two additional theme parks under development: Bollywood Parks Dubai and LEGOLAND Dubai.

Mycotoo was brought on board to lead the strategic master planning for Motiongate.  Our involvement included creative design and development from Concept Design Phase through the Refinement, Schematic and Detail Design phases.

As part of this planning effort, Mycotoo organized and staffed the creative design team (Riva Creative USA) with over 170 professionals to execute the concept development, schematic design, and the design development phase of park.

Our team held various production roles including Executive Producer, Lead Landscape Architect, Area and Senior Producer.

In partnership with The Riva Group, Mycotoo’s production management and involvement in the park included: Executive Producer, Budget Analysis, Project Management, Team Staffing, Creative Management and Technical Management.

Mycotoo’s executive team managed the key milestones in the project schedule, in an effort to minimize risk and while maintaining the creative intent.

Mycotoo oversaw the art direction, facility design management, and creative intent during the schematic and detail design phases.
